General Disclaimer

Project Phoenix ("we", "us", or "our") provides legacy modernization framework documentation, pipeline architecture guides, and educational resources for analytical and educational purposes only.

1. No Professional Advice

Project Phoenix documentation is not professional business advice, technical consulting, or system architecture advice.

You are solely responsible for your implementation decisions, including:

  • Legacy system assessment and Phoenix engagement scoping
  • Agent pipeline configuration and orchestration
  • Technology stack selection for greenfield builds
  • Validation coverage thresholds and acceptance criteria

2. No Guaranteed Results

Project Phoenix provides patterns and principles, but:

  • We cannot guarantee that Phoenix will successfully modernize your legacy system
  • We are not responsible for outcomes from implementing the Phoenix pipeline
  • Legacy modernization success depends on organizational readiness, stakeholder engagement, and system complexity

Implementation success depends on:

  • Quality of business logic extraction from the legacy codebase
  • Availability of stakeholders with tribal knowledge
  • Completeness of the unified specification
  • Rigor of the validation and certification process

3. Framework Limitations

System Complexity

Phoenix is designed for systems where business logic can be extracted and specified. Systems with extensive undocumented behavior, cryptographic implementations, or hardware-dependent logic may require supplementary approaches.

Tribal Knowledge

The pipeline assumes access to stakeholders who understand the legacy system's business context. If all tribal knowledge has been lost, extraction quality will be limited to what the code itself reveals.

Regulatory Systems

Systems subject to regulatory certification (medical devices, financial systems, aviation) may require additional validation steps beyond what the standard Phoenix pipeline provides.

4. No Affiliation

Project Phoenix is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI) or any AI provider
  • Cloudflare, Azure, or any infrastructure provider
  • Any academic institution or research body

Project Phoenix is an independent framework developed by Semantic Intent.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Semantic Intent and its contributors are not liable for:

  • Failed modernization outcomes from Phoenix implementation
  • Production system failures during or after Phoenix transformation
  • Incomplete business rule extraction or specification gaps
  • Consequential, incidental, or punitive damages

Your use of Project Phoenix is at your sole risk.
